Morgan Bell, Miss Jackson County RoseQueen Scholarship Pageant 2017 Candidate

Congratulation to Morgan Bell on being named the Most Photogenic as a result of her entry into the Miss Jackson County RoseQueen Scholarship Pageant USA. Morgan came to us with a fresh set of eyes, never having been in a pageant before.

When asked about her time as a candidate in 2017, Morgan explained, “My experience has been one that I will remember for the rest of my life. I have help the college and career access center over the summer at the YMCA and helped kids ages 8-14 on college, careers, soft skills and work ethic. It was so much fun to talk to them and ask them what they want to be when they grow up. we took them to spring arbor and jiffy for a hands on experience. I have been to almost every event. I have made relationships with each girl and I have added a lot of volunteerism on my resume and I can’t wait to continue throughout the program.”

Scholastic Honors:   Outstanding Performance Award in Speech; Academic Achievement Award in Choir; Received 4 $1,000 scholarships to Baker, Jackson, Albion and Spring Arbor Colleges and $4,000 to Siena Heights University, 2017 Youth Citizenship Award.

Leadership Roles:  Coaches Award, Most Dedicated, Most Spirited for Varsity Cheer; Varsity Cheer Captain; Forensics Team Captain; Leader for little Warrior cheer; Fundraising for cheer, top seller; Relay 4 Life.

Accomplishments:  iChallengeU program 1st place winner; Competitive speech, four 1st place, three 2nd place winnings; Qualified 3rd at regionals in 2016, Qualified 2nd at regionals in 2017 for competitive speech, Placed 10th in State level speech; Received Honorable Mention Award in Competitive Cheerleading.

Interesting Facts:  Favorite food is potatoes; Love recycled/vintage clothing; Love to bargain shop; Dreams to be a judge for a food show one day; Love to ice skate; Attend Al-Anon meetings once a week; Moved 25+ times in the last 5 years; Obsessive Organizer; Played Violin for 3 years; Nickname is Lettuce Head.

We are very proud of Morgan and all that she has learned on her journey.  Expect to see big things from this young lady as she makes her mark in the big world!
